About The Author
Amanda Andrews –
Felkner
Amanda is an educator, storyteller, and all-around lover of creativity. Holding two degrees in education and a passion for making learning exciting, Amanda crafts stories that inspire kids to think big, and see the world through empathetic eyes. Her own journey of resilience and her work with children and families fuel her mission to shine a light on themes and voices that don’t always get their moment in the spotlight.
When she’s not dreaming up new adventures for her characters, you’ll find her traveling, crafting, exploring the great outdoors in Washington State with her family, or chasing after her two lovable (and slightly mischievous) dogs, Copper and Blue. Eleanor and Kerwin’s Big Idea is her debut children’s book, and she’s thrilled to turn it into a series celebrating the beauty of diverse experiences and perspectives.

The illustrations are beautiful, and the story is so relatable. It’s a book my kids want to read again and again, and I love how it encourages problem-solving and collaboration.
